Doing Our Part for Social Development in the Community

This year, I am happy to announce that 12 Gates Property Services has transitioned into being a Social Enterprise.

"What is a Social Enterprise?" you might ask?

Social enterprises include "non-profit organizations" or "registered charities" who operate revenue-generating related businesses and include organizations that operate as "for-profit" businesses with a social goal.

A social enterprise or social business is defined as a business that has specific social objectives that serve its primary purpose. Social enterprises seek to maximize profits while maximizing benefits to society and the environment. Their profits are principally used to fund social programs.

At 12 Gates Property Services, we are a Social Enterprise providing real estate support services to real estate investors, private mortgage lenders, and landlords in general who are struggling with the hassles of managing their investment properties.

We provide a wide range of support services designed to minimize financial loss and maximize cash flow. We do this by working exclusively with a network of skilled independent contractors able to deliver fast reliable services and by using innovative property management tactics, strategies, and tools designed to cut costs and reduce overhead management expenses.

Our overall objective is to minimize financial loss and maximize cash flow and help to provide more adequate, safe and affordable housing for more Ontarians. This is one of the 17 objectives of The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals that we are committed to implementing into our daily practice.

What is Sustainable development? It has been defined as development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

Of the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals, 12 Gates Property Services will serve 3 categories:

Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure

Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities

At 12 Gates Property Services, we are an enterprise that connects real estate investors and other professionals with local service providers in an efficient way, reducing costs, saving time, and providing jobs for marginalized individuals. We address the need for growth in entrepreneurship. Our innovative services are designed to ease the hassles of land-lording and investment risks. We exclusively work with independent contractors focusing on equity, and inclusion of individuals in the workplace.
